I've spent several hours over the past two days bringing my early photos into Lightroom Desktop. Its new ability to browse and edit local files before sending a selection of them to cloud storage tipped me toward trying Lightroom instead of Capture One.

It's been tedious and this morning I started questioning the entire enterprise. All these old photos are already in my Apple Photos library, so as far as synching to devices go, I'm set. I could simply spend the time cleaning up Photos instead. Plus, edits in C1 are better to my eyes in most cases. Sometimes I get lazy and let ease and convenience trump quality. Convenience is seldom the right priority over the long term.

I reduced the font size of posts here. I'm old, but don't yet prefer large fonts for text. Let me know if you find it difficult to read this way. I also moved the social icons to the footer. This helps with rendering on mobile, since I couldn't figure out how to fix it with them up top.
