I need social media. Without it, how will I know who I'm going to be or how I'm supposed to feel today?

Whenever I see others refer to me or my blog, it's usually along the lines of "he changes his blog a lot...". This is fine, because I do, but I'm wondering if this is what I'd like to be remembered for. Wouldn't it be better to be remembered for my photographs, my writing, or art, or being otherwise useful to the world?

Michal Zelazny has a blogroll that's done right. A little context goes a long way. I haven't yet created my own blogroll because I'm afraid of leaving anyone out and it will just end up being The Internet.

Not long ago, I spent time—lots of time—building my own Emacs config from scratch. It got to a pretty good point before I realized all I was doing was building my own shitty version of Doom Emacs. So, I punted and went back to Doom. I've been using my vanilla config all day today and it's...not bad. It actually feels faster in action than Doom. But, there are so many nice little quality-of-life improvements provided by Doom that I fear I'll never get there. Still, it feels good to be running something that's all mine.
